GATE, GLOBE & CHECK VALVES

Gate Valves are commonly used in applications that include: general industrial, HVAC, boiler house, steam, water treatment and distribution (WRAS), agricultural, compressed air and oil. Dependent on the process, we supply gate valves (either rising or non-rising stem) in a range of materials and end connections for their specific duty. Knife Gate Valves are commonly used in liquid, slurry and powder applications that include: pulp and paper, bulk handling, mining, food, beverage, chemical and waste water treatment. Like our standard gate valves, the knife gate valves we supply designed for arduous duty, in a range of materials and design; Unidirectional or Bidirectional where the design of the body and seat will ensure non-clogging to deliver tight shut off on suspended solid and liquid media. We do recommend that standard gate valves should never be used to regulate flow.

A globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable plug or disc element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. Globe valves have a spherical body shape with the two halves of the body being separated by an internal weir. This has an opening that forms a seat onto which a movable plug/disc which can be screwed in to close the valve. In globe valves, the plug is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action using a handwheel in manual valves. Like gate valves, globe valves come in a range of different materials and designs specific to each application.

Check valves (Non Return valves) are an inexpensive and reliable way of preventing the backward flow of a liquid or gas. We are able to provide an extensive range of check valves, available in a wide range of sizes, materials and designs. With numerous applications in process, industrial, domestic and drinking water systems all requiring some form of check or non-return valve, correct selection is vital.
