Towards the end of last year, we were asked whether we can assist in the design and build of a remote safety option by a customer on-site. After some time working on the design we were able to come up with the following solution; multiple Ex'ia' Intrinsically Safe remote solenoids interconnected (by two different manufacturers #Pneumatrol and #Burkert to ensure all safety requirements are met) based in a GRP IP65 Rated enclosure. On the mini project, there was a variety of configurations for the enclosures ranging from 2 to 7 solenoid options. We have now manufactured and supplied 50+ since the first one last summer and it has proven to be a great success for any remote safety applications. Mini projects like this are a prime example and great way of showing our technical expertise in the process field.
